Ludwig black and white badges - posted in Vintage Venue: Hey guys. I saw a B/W badge Ludwig snare paired up with a firewood kit at a pawn shop last weekend.

    A Ludwig Badge that is black and white?

    A buddy of mine has a drum that he wants to sell that looks like a supersensitive (chrome and the shell is the same shape as a super sensitive or a acrolite). Its a 5' depth one.
    The badge is the same shape as the blue/olive badge ludwigs. The bottom half of the badge says 'Ludwig' in black. The top have of the badge is colored black (instead of blue) and white (instead of olive). What era Ludwig is this? Any idea of a fair price that I should offer him? There is a serial number on the badge as well.
    He doesn't know anything about the drums history as he just got it used.

    I was told to avoid the black and white logos. That is their cheep line. Can someone confirm that.

    yeah the tom i had with the black and white badge was like, 2 exterior plies of wood and some composite bullsh**t material on the inside. good thing someone gave it to me.

I also have a P-85 if you rather have that. No extra holes. Muffler all there and good I just removed it while cleaning and took pic of the B stamp. B means bronze on this era drum. Some Pantina on the inside of Shell which is common for bronze. Shell is straight and all lugs are good. New Remo ambassador heads and Puresound wires.
